Estimation for the Multivariate Errors-in-Variables Model with Estimated Error Covariance Matrix

open access: yesThe Annals of Statistics, 1984
The authors consider the estimation problem of multivariate errors-in- variables models. Let \(r\times 1\) row vectors \(y_ i\) and \(k\times 1\) row vectors \(x_ i\) satisfy \(y_ i=\beta_ 0+x_ i\beta\), \(i=1,2,...,n\), where \(\beta_ 0\) and \(\beta\) are 1\(\times r\) and \(k\times r\) matrices of parameters, respectively.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Cramer-Rao Bounds of Localization Estimation for Integrated Radar and Communication System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Instead of only considering the radar estimation error in the traditional radar system (TRS), for the integrated radar and communication system (IRCS), we investigate the Cramer-Rao bound (CRB) of the localization estimation, which is influenced by both ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Estimation of Gini Index within Pre-Specified Error Bound

open access: yesEconometrics, 2016
Gini index is a widely used measure of economic inequality. This article develops a theory and methodology for constructing a confidence interval for Gini index with a specified confidence coefficient and a specified width without assuming any specific ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Comprehensive Analysis of Multipath Estimation Algorithms in the Framework of Information Theoretic Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Multipath interference is considered as one of the dominant error sources for high-precision positioning systems. Multipath estimation plays a significant role in eliminating multipath error to improve the positioning precision. In this paper, a category
