In this paper, we provide a numerical bit error rate (BER) estimation approach for direct-detected orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals in the presence of optical preamplified receivers. The individual BER of each subcarrier is first computed by considering their electrical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and then the ensemble BER is ...

EUROCON'2001. International Conference on Trends in Communications. Technical Program, Proceedings (Cat. No.01EX439), 2002
Summary form only given. In this paper, the phase error in the MSK (minimum shift keying) receiver carrier and crosstalk between the I and Q channels are assumed. Also, the phase error is a random variable due to noise and other random input processes.

Analyze of the Pseudorange Noise Error for Compass B1 Open Signal Based on the Receiver
2013Pseudorange noise error has a strong correlation with the parameters of receiver’s antenna and RF, the technology of baseband signal processing. The pseudorange noise error of GNSS system should be analyzed based on the actual parameters of the receiver.

SIMULATOR ERROR STREAM IN THE DATA CHANNEL WHEN RECEIVING BINARY DIGITAL RADIO SIGNALS
Modeling of systems and processes, 2019Based on the phenomenological approach, a simulator of the error flow in the sequence of data transmitted over the radio channel is developed. The proposed version of the simulator takes into account the features of coherent and incoherent reception of the most common binary digital signals with relative phase and frequency manipulation.

The Bit Error Rate Performance Of Load Management Receivers Using AFSK Signaling
Conference Proceedings Southeastcon '81., 2005In the course of designing a radio-based load management system, it is necessary to define the coverage area of a given transmitter. One part of this exercise would of necessity involve predicting area coverage using s tandard propagation models; however, before this can be done one must establish a minimum field intensity for reliable switch operation.

Errors in directional measurements using the relative amplitudes of signals received by two aerials
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1967An analysis is made of the statistical properties of the estimated direction of arrival of radio waves. The estimate is considered to be obtained from the relative amplitudes of the signals received by two narrow-beam aerials whose directions differ by approximately one aerial beamwidth, and the errors in the estimated direction are produced by ...

ABSTRACTIn shipborne inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR), not only the target, but also the radar ship will have nonstationary 3-dimensional rotations induced by the irregular sea wave. Thus, how to compensate the radar ship’s rotations is the key problem in reconstructing the shipborne ISAR image of ship target successfully.

Minimum Symbol Error Rate Transmitter and Receiver FIR MIMO Filters for Multilevel PSK Signaling
2005 2nd International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems, 2005A theory is developed for minimizing the exact symbol error rate (SER) between the desired and decoded signals with respect to the coefficients of the transmitter and receiver finite impulse response (FIR) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) filters.

This paper describes some experimental work in which the visual effects of incorrect decoding of the chrominance signals in colour television receivers were assessed by panels of observers. There are difficulties in changing circuit parameters in an actual receiver during a viewing session to simulate decoding errors.
