Glucosinolate biosynthesis in Eruca sativa

Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, 2016
Glucosinolates (GSLs) are a highly important group of secondary metabolites in the Caparalles order, both due to their significance in plant-biome interactions and to their chemoprotective properties. This study identified genes involved in all steps of aliphatic and indolic GSL biosynthesis in Eruca sativa, a cultivated plant closely related to ...

Nutritional requirement of taramira (Eruca sativa)

Indian Journal of Agronomy, 2001
A field study was conducted during the winter season of 1995 96, 1996 97 and 1997 98 to study the nutritional requirement of taramira (Eruca sativa Mill.). A linear increase in growth and yield attributes was recorded with an increase in level of nitrogen up to 80 kglha and phosphorus up to 45 kglha.

Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of Eruca sativa

Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture (PCTOC), 2011
An Agrobacterium tumefaciens—mediated transformation system was developed for Eruca sativa (eruca). Hypocotyl explants were co-cultivated with bacterial cells carrying a plasmid harboring a uidA:nptII fusion gene along a phosphinothricin acetyl transferase (PAT) gene cassette, for a period of 2 days.
