Induced Expression of Sarcotoxin IA Enhanced Host Resistance Against Both Bacterial and Fungal Pathogens in Transgenic Tobacco

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2000
We demonstrate here that induced expression of sarcotoxin IA, a bactericidal peptide from Sarcophaga peregrina, enhanced the resistance of transgenic tobacco plants to both bacterial and fungal pathogens.

Endophytic Actinobacteria Induce Defense Pathways in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2008
Endophytic actinobacteria, isolated from healthy wheat tissue, which are capable of suppressing a number wheat fungal pathogens both in vitro and in planta, were investigated for the ability to activate key genes in the systemic acquired resistance (SAR)

Mobilization, Cloning, and Sequence Determination of a Plasmid-Encoded Polygalacturonase from a Phytopathogenic Burkholderia (Pseudomonas) cepacia

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 1997
Phytopathogenic strains of Burkholderia cepacia (synonym Pseudomonas cepacia) produce endopolygalacturonase, whereas strains of clinical and soil origin do not.

The effect of disinfectants on Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus and Erwinia carotovora subsp. atroseptica on different surface materials

open access: yesAgricultural and Food Science, 1992
The effect of seven disinfectants on Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus and Erwinia carotovora subsp. atroseptica was tested on metal, plastic and wood surfaces in laboratory trials. lobac P was the most effective disinfectant in the control of

Variation of Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora isolated from Korea

open access: yesVariation of Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora isolated from Korea
Twenty three Korean strains of soft rot pathogen, Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora (Ecc), isolated from various kinds of plants were investigated for their bacteriological, pathological and genetic properties. On the basis of bacteriological tests, the strains were grouped into 6 biovars. Intermediate strains between E..
