As urbanization accelerates, historic gardens serve as vital cultural treasures that offer spiritual and cultural support to the public. This study proposes an innovative approach that merges historical records from the Qing Dynasty with contemporary social media data to explore changes in public perceptions of these gardens.

We used eDNA metabarcoding of faecal samples to quantify the dietary composition of two vervet monkey populations in a semi‐urban environment in South Africa over a 4‐month period, and compared these results with visual observations. We found that both methods yielded similar results, but eDNA metabarcoding revealed a greater diversity of consumed taxa.
