Tailoring the Extent of Lymphadenectomy for Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Insights From a Comparative Study of Neoadjuvant Chemo‐Immunotherapy and Surgery Cohort

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 9, May 2026.
In ESCC, the prognostic impact of examined lymph node (ELN) count was treatment‐dependent. Surgery alone showed continuous benefit with increasing ELNs, whereas after neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy, both insufficient and excessive ELN counts predicted worse survival.

The Overlooked Autoantibody Repertoire: Exploring the Biomarker Potential of Downregulated Autoantibodies in NSCLC

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 5, Page 1244-1259, May 2026.
This study identifies downregulated autoantibodies in NSCLC and demonstrates their diagnostic and prognostic utility. Integrating proteome‐wide screening and large‐cohort validation, we highlight a novel biomarker class that enhances early detection and patient stratification.

Early‐Onset Digestive System Cancers: Risk Factors and Clinicopathological and Molecular Features Across Organ Sites

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 5, Page 1223-1234, May 2026.
Shared risk factors, clinical features, and tumor characteristics across multiple early‐onset cancer types are shown in this Graphical Abstract. Integrative approaches combining molecular pathology, oncology, and population sciences offer opportunities to clarify underlying mechanisms and help us develop preventive strategies for early‐onset cancers ...

Impact of Artificial Intelligence‐Assisted Endoscopy on Screening for Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer in a Large‐Scale Health Screening Facility

open access: yesDigestive Endoscopy, Volume 38, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Artificial intelligence (AI)‐assisted endoscopy has been developed for the early detection of upper gastrointestinal cancer; however, its clinical effectiveness remains insufficiently evaluated. This study assessed its effectiveness in a health screening facility.

The Regulation and Function of Hippo/YAP Pathway in Cancer

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 7, 15 April 2026.
Hippo/YAP pathway signaling plays critical roles in the progression of multiple cancer types. This review summarizes current knowledge of Hippo/YAP pathway regulation and function in cancer. We discuss the core components of the Hippo/YAP pathway; its crosstalk with other signaling pathways; regulation by non‐coding RNAs; roles of YAP signaling in ...
