Pyrophosphate‐Containing Calcium Phosphates Negatively Impact Heterotopic Bone Quality

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The role of calcium pyrophosphate (Ca‐PP) in heterotopic bone formation and material degradation is investigated using calcium phosphate (CaP) compositions with varying Ca‐PP content. Results show that Ca‐PP does not impede heterotopic bone formation, minimally affects CaP degradation at non‐osseous sites, and increases phagocytosis.

Effects of adding different sources of oil powder to the diet on the quality and cecal gut microbesof white feather broilers

open access: yesJournal of Functional Foods
Oils are important high-density energy sources for increasing the amount of metabolizable energy in poultry diets, and reducing the intake of saturated fatty acids (SFA) and increasing the intake of beneficial unsaturated fatty acids (UFA) in feed are ...

Rational Design of Unsaturated, Thioether Ionizable Lipids for Enhanced In Vivo mRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) have rapidly become the delivery system of choice for RNA therapeutics. Here, a rational design approach is taken to improve the effectiveness of LNPs based on an ionizable thioether lipid library. The incorporation of unsaturated tails and bulkier, hydrophobic head groups significantly enhances their functionality and ...
