Research progress of acidic nucleoplasmic DNA-binding protein 1 [PDF]

open access: yesJichu yixue yu linchuang, 2021
Acidic nucleoplasmic DNA-binding protein 1 (And-1/WDHD1) as a natural chimerical protein, is characterized by containing the WD-repeat and the HMG-box motif families.

Cohesin mediates DNA loop extrusion and sister chromatid cohesion by distinct mechanisms

open access: yesbioRxiv, 2022
Cohesin connects CTCF binding sites and other genomic loci in cis to form chromatin loops, and replicated DNA molecules in trans to mediate sister chromatid cohesion.

Sequential Loading of Cohesin Subunits during the First Meiotic Prophase of Grasshoppers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A previous version of this article appeared as an Early Online Release on January 2, 2007 (doi:10.1371/journal.pgen.0030028.eor).The cohesin complexes play a key role in chromosome segregation during both mitosis and meiosis.

MCM2–7-dependent cohesin loading during S phase promotes sister-chromatid cohesion

open access: yeseLife, 2018
DNA replication transforms cohesin rings dynamically associated with chromatin into the cohesive form to establish sister-chromatid cohesion. Here, we show that, in human cells, cohesin loading onto chromosomes during early S phase requires the ...

An ever-changing landscape in Roberts syndrome biology: Implications for macromolecular damage.

open access: yesPLoS Genetics, 2020
Roberts syndrome (RBS) is a rare developmental disorder that can include craniofacial abnormalities, limb malformations, missing digits, intellectual disabilities, stillbirth, and early mortality.

The ABCs of SMC proteins: two-armed ATPases for chromosome condensation, cohesion and repair [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The first draft of the human genome sequence was reported a year ago. It may be a good time to remind ourselves that the genetic information encoded in the ∼3000-Mb sequence is stored not only in the public or private databases but also in the tiny space

Biomechanics‐Driven 3D Architecture Inference from Histology Using CellSqueeze3D

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CellSqueeze3D reconstructs 3D cellular architecture from standard 2D histology images using biomechanical constraints and optimization. Validated on clinical datasets, it enables accurate tissue phenotyping, predicts gene mutations, and reveals significant correlations between nuclear‐cytoplasmic ratio entropy and tumor progression.

ESCO2 promotes hypopharyngeal carcinoma progression in a STAT1-dependent manner

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2023
Background The establishment of sister chromatid cohesion N-acetyltransferase 2 (ESCO2) is involved in the development of multiple malignancies. However, its role in hypopharyngeal carcinoma (HPC) progression remains uncharacterized.

CRISPR screens in sister chromatid cohesion defective cells reveal PAXIP1-PAGR1 as regulator of chromatin association of cohesin

open access: yesbioRxiv, 2022
The cohesin complex regulates higher order chromosome architecture through maintaining sister chromatid cohesion and folding chromatin by active DNA loop extrusion.
