Organisational Changes and Psychosocial Work Factors: Prospective Findings From the National French Working Conditions Survey

open access: yesSafety and Health at Work
The studies exploring the mechanisms by which organisational changes may impact health outcomes are lacking. The objectives of the study were to examine the prospective associations of organisational changes with the deterioration of psychosocial work ...

Crystal structure of phenyl N-(4-nitrophenyl)carbamate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2015
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C13H10N2O4, contains two independent molecules (A and B). The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 48.18 (14)° in molecule A and 45.81 (14)° in molecule B. The mean plane of the carbamate N—C(=O)—O group

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Eat1-Like Alcohol Acyl Transferases From Yeasts Have High Alcoholysis and Thiolysis Activity

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2020
Esters are important flavor and fragrance compounds that are present in many food and beverage products. Many of these esters are produced by yeasts and bacteria during fermentation.

A Critical Overview of the Impact of Nanoparticles in Ester Fluid for Power Transformers

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
This paper examines the impact of various nanoparticles on ester fluids with a special focus on their usage towards power transformers. The precautionary measures to be considered on the nanofluids such as preparation methodologies with an appropriate ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Preparation of methyl esters

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1960
b The use of 2,2-dimethoxypropane (DMP) in preparation of methyl esters has been reported by Lorette and Brown (1). This reagent reacts very rapidly with water in the presence of strong acid to form methanol and acetone and thus can act as a water scavenger in esterification of acids with methanol.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Molecular Docking of Citronellol, Geraniol and Ester Derivatives as Pim 1 Kinase Inhibitor of Leukemia Cancer

open access: yesJurnal Kimia Valensi, 2019
The proviral insertion site in Moloney murine leukemia virus-1 (Pim1) kinase is overexpressed in many human cancer diseases. Inhibition of Pim1 kinase has been reported can suppress cell proliferation and induce apoptotic cell death, so that the protein ...
