Smart Nanodelivery Systems for Immunometabolic Modulation in Osteoarthritis

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Smart nanodelivery systems deliver therapeutic payloads across the cartilage matrix to ensure their sustained accumulation within chondrocytes at sites of injury. By targeting specific molecular targets and signaling pathways, these platforms modulate the pathological synovium‐cartilage axis to restore immunometabolic homeostasis and drive tissue ...

Enhanced acetyl esterase production by Fusarium oxysporum

open access: yes, 1999
Production of acetyl esterase (EC 3.1.1.6) by Fusarium oxysporum strain F3 was enhanced by optimization of growth conditions. Under optimal conditions, activities as high as 0.89 U/ml of culture medium were obtained.

Mechanism of the glucuronoyl esterase OtCE15A: an alpha/beta hydrolase involved with biomass conversion [Elektronisk resurs]

open access: yes, 2022
Glucuronoyl esterases are α/β serine hydrolases from Carbohydrate Esterase family 15 (CE15) which cleave an ester linkage that connects lignin to glucuronyl xylan, an important linkage contributing to biomass recalcitrance.

Quality of Spontaneous and Backslopped Fermented Cassava Flour From Different Cassava Landraces and Sensory Acceptability of the Cooked Dough

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
The cooked Oko‐iyawo spontaneously fermented cassava flour's sensory acceptability was correlated with its amylose content, pH, pasting temperature, and water absorption capability. Cassava processors may be able to create consistently high‐quality fermented cassava flour for various end users with the use of the information provided in this study ...

Juvenilhormon-Esterase, ein Schlüsselenzym in Wirt-Parasitoid-Interaktionen

open access: yes, 2008
Hymenopteran endoparasitoids that develop inside their lepidopteran host may exert a multitude of interactions with their host until they are able to emerge successfully from a developmentally arrested host that finally dies.
