Titration vs. GC-MS Analysis to Determine the Factors Affecting the Esterification Activity of Candida rugosa Lipase Immobilized onto Celite [PDF]
The activity of lipases to catalyze the synthesis of esters in a non-aqueous environment can be assessed by performing a simple esterification study. In such tests, titration of the remaining acid has been one of the most used methods to determine the ...

During pupal metamorphosis and starvation, elevated 20‐hydroxyecdysone (20E) and suppressed insulin trigger Forkhead box O (FOXO) nuclear translocation, enhancing miR‐375‐3p expression. This downregulates fatty acid synthase (FASN) and Relish, promoting lipid breakdown for energy while prioritizing antioxidant responses over immune functions to support

An integrated approach combining mass spectrometry imaging, transcriptomics, and phylogenetic analysis facilitated the efficient identification of genes involved in gallotannin biosynthesis in Paeonia suffruticosa. As a result, a key UGT and several SCPL acyltransferases responsible for biosynthesizing pentagalloylglucose were successfully identified ...

Breaking the Cycle, Cholesterol Cycling, and Synapse Damage in Response to Amyloid-ß [PDF]
Soluble amyloid-β (Aβ) oligomers, a key driver of pathogenesis in Alzheimer disease, bind to cellular prion proteins (PrPC) expressed on synaptosomes resulting in increased cholesterol concentrations, movement of cytoplasmic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2) to ...

Disulfide‐Bridged Ru Complex–Mediated Photo‐Disulfidptosis for Colorectal Cancer Therapy
In this work, a binuclear ruthenium complex, RuSSRu was developed for efficient colorectal cancer (CRC) treatment. The synergistic interaction between disulfidptosis and lysosomal damage‐induced apoptosis induced by RuSSRu amplified tumor cell death. This innovative approach offers a potent therapeutic strategy for CRC.
