Character sums with division polynomials
We obtain nontrivial estimates of quadratic character sums of division polynomials $\Psi_n(P)$, $n=1,2, ...$, evaluated at a given point $P$ on an elliptic curve over a finite field of $q$ elements.

Estimates of character sums with exponential function [PDF]
Let \(n \geq 2\) and \(\lambda\) be integers satisfying \((n, \lambda)=1\) and \(\lambda\) belonging to the exponent \(d\) modulo \(n\). Given a primitive Dirichlet character \(\chi\) mod \(n\) the author proves the estimate \[ \left|\sum_{x=1}^X \chi(a \lambda^x +b) \right|< \sqrt{n} \left( \frac{2}{\pi} \log n + \frac{7}{5} \right).

ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

Deep Holes in Reed-Solomon Codes Based on Dickson Polynomials
For an $[n,k]$ Reed-Solomon code $\mathcal{C}$, it can be shown that any received word $r$ lies a distance at most $n-k$ from $\mathcal{C}$, denoted $d(r,\mathcal{C})\leq n-k$. Any word $r$ meeting the equality is called a deep hole. Guruswami and Vardy (

ABSTRACT Blinatumomab has been shown to be highly effective for patients with pediatric B‐ALL and has recently become standard of care therapy. Due to its past use in the clinical trial setting, there is limited information available about real‐world administration.

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Computing Dirichlet character sums to a power-full modulus
The Postnikov character formula is used to express large portions of a Dirichlet character sum in terms of quadratic exponential sums. The quadratic sums are then computed using an analytic algorithm previously derived by the author.

ABSTRACT Purpose Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common pediatric ocular cancer, yet population‐based data on survival and risk factors remain limited. This study aimed to describe survival in a large national RB cohort and identify predictors of death and complications.

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.
