Wearable‐based phenotyping of activity patterns during pregnancy

open access: yesPregnancy, Volume 2, Issue 4, July 2026.
Abstract Objective Wearable activity trackers provide scalable, objective measures of behavior, but their potential use for early detection of high‐risk conditions during pregnancy remains to be evaluated. Study design Using longitudinal Fitbit data from 336 participants in the Deep Phenotyping of Pregnancy Project (DP3), we evaluated both conventional

EFFECTIVENESS OF DIFFERENT PROTOCOLS FOR INDUCING ESTRUS OF ARDY GOATS DURING THE NON-BREEDING SEASON. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Animal and Poultry Production, 2010
The experiment was conducted to determine the reproductive performance (kidding rate and litter size) of estrus synchronized local Ardy goats after different protocols and trans-cervical artificial insemination (TC-AI).

Relationships among feed intake, blood metabolites, follicle size and progesterone concentration in ewes exhibiting or not exhibiting estrus after estrous synchronization in the tropics.

open access: yes, 2015
The aim of this study was to determine the relationships among feed intake, blood metabolites, follicle size, and progesterone (P 4 ) concentration in ewes that did or did not exhibit estrus after estrous synchronization.

Comparative Effects of Laparotomy and Laparoscopy‐Assisted Embryo Transfer on Oxidative Stress and Thiol–Disulphide Homeostasis in Tuj Ewes

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
Laparoscopic embryo transfer in Tuj ewes induces less oxidative stress and better preserves thiol–disulphide homeostasis than laparotomy. These findings indicate that minimally invasive approaches better maintain redox balance and antioxidant defence during embryo transfer procedures.

Ovarian and Estrous Response of Suckled Beef Cows to the Select Synch Estrous Synchronization Protocol

open access: yesThe Professional Animal Scientist, 2000
Abstract This study evaluated ovarian and estrous responses as affected by day of the estrous cycle at initiation of treatment among cows synchronized with the Select Synch protocol. Fifty-six suckled Hereford x Red Angus multiparous cows were fitted with HeatWatch® electronic estrous detection monitors 22 d before initiation of treatment. Thirty-two

Mechanism and Intervention of the NPY1R/CREB Signaling Axis in Regulating Inflammatory Response in Aged Ovarian Granulosa Cells and Ovarian Senescence

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 12, 30 June 2026.
Aging‐associated upregulation of NPY1R drives p‐CREB activation, triggering inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and extracellular matrix imbalance to promote ovarian senescence. Pharmacological inhibition of NPY1R with BIBO 3304 restores ovarian homeostasis, highlighting a therapeutic strategy for reproductive aging. ABSTRACT Ovarian senescence is

Synergistic RU486 and olaparib therapy enhances apoptosis in endometriosis by simultaneously targeting hormonal signalling and DNA repair

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 11, Page 2947-2968, June 2026.
Background and Purpose Endometriosis is a chronic, hormone‐dependent disorder characterized by ectopic implantation of endometrial tissue, often accompanied by pain and infertility. Although the progesterone receptor modulator RU486 is effective for pain relief, its impact on lesion regression is limited, possibly due to apoptosis resistance and ...

The Use of Natural Phenomenon in Obtaining Pregnant Rats and Mice as Experimental Animals with The Same Gestational Ages

open access: yesJournal of Tropical Life Science, 2019
Hormonal oestrus synchronization is often used to obtain the same gestational ages animal models, but it may not physiologic nor practical. This research was conducted to find out a simple method in obtaining physiologic pregnant experimental animals. We

Estrogen receptor β regulates sex‐dependent airway mechanics and inflammation in a murine model of allergen exposure

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 11, June 2026.
Abstract Sex differences in asthma severity have been reported; however, the specific contribution of estrogen receptor β (ERβ) remains incompletely defined. We tested the hypothesis that ERβ modulates sex‐specific physiological responses to chronic allergen exposure using C57BL/6J wild‐type (WT) and ERβ‐deficient (Esr2−/−) male and female mice ...
