3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Synthesis of cyclic ethers by cyclodehydration of 1,n-diols using heteropoly acids as catalysts [PDF]
Heteropoly acids were used as catalysts for cyclodehydration of various 1,n-diols. Cyclodehydration of butane-1,4-diol, pentane-1,5-diol and hexane-1,6-diol catalysed by H3PW12O40 gave tetrahydrofuran, tetrahydropyran and oxepane, respectively ...

Potassium–sulfur batteries are investigated using UV–vis spectroscopy to track the evolution of potassium polysulfide species at elevated temperature. The study reveals sulfur radical anions as key intermediates and shows how solvent composition and cell design influence polysulfide stability, redox behavior, and cycling performance, providing insights

An Overview of Saturated Cyclic Ethers: Biological Profiles and Synthetic Strategies
Saturated oxygen heterocycles are widely found in a broad array of natural products and other biologically active molecules. In medicinal chemistry, small and medium rings are also important synthetic intermediates since they can undergo ring-opening and

Mild One-step Synthesis of Dibromo Compounds from Cyclic Ethers
A novel one-step method for mildly converting cyclic ethers into dibromo compounds is reported. Alcohols, oximes, aldehydes, and ketones are known to react under Appel or Corey–Fuchs reaction conditions, but apparently these have never been applied to ...

Thioketal (TK) polymers are promising biomaterials due to their selective biodegradation by reactive oxygen species (ROS), but they respond slowly to physiologic doses of ROS. Here, the TK bond's pendant groups are modified to enhance the degradation of TK‐based implants both in vitro and in vivo.

Metal-Free Regioselective Cross Dehydrogenative Coupling of Cyclic Ethers and Aryl Carbonyls
A highly regioselective, efficient, and metal-free oxidative cross dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) of aryl carbonyls with cyclic ethers has been developed. This method offers easy access to substituted α-arylated cyclic ethers with a high functional group

Insertion reactions of organochlorosilanes with cyclic ethers
Phenyl glycidyl ether and allyl glycidyl ether (3-phenoxy- and 3-allyloxy-1,2-epoxypropane) cause fission of the silicon---chlorine bonds in a number of alkylchlorosilanes to form chloro-substituted alkoxysilanes.

A Holistic Stabilization of the Anode in Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries Through a Ternary Alloy Fusion
LiTeAl anodes fabricated through a scalable thermal fusion technique holistically addresses the stability issues faced by lithium‐metal anodes in lithium–sulfur batteries. Aluminum forming a skeletal network with lithium suppresses dendrite growth and enhances energy density, while tellurium forming a robust SEI facilitates Li+‐ion flow.
