Transmission of Anellovirus From Kidney‐Donor to Pediatric Recipient: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesPediatric Transplantation, Volume 30, Issue 9, September 2026.
Donor‐to‐recipient anellovirus transmission occurred in 1 of 6 pediatric kidney transplant pairs, in a recipient with pre‐existing immunosuppression. The donor‐derived lineage became detectable 1 year after transplantation, indicating no meaningful contribution to early post‐transplant recipient TTV load and supporting continued research into TTV as an

Reversible Coordination Modes in Piperazine‐Based Ru(II)‐p‐Cymene Acylthiourea Complexes: Modulating DNA Groove Binding for Selective Antimelanoma Activity

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 16, 27 August 2026.
Piperazine‐based monodentate and S,N‐bidentate Ru(II)‐p‐cymene complexes were synthesized through distinct coordination strategies and evaluated for antimelanoma activity. Among the investigated compounds, the S,N‐bidentate complex 2b exhibited significantly enhanced cytotoxicity (IC50 = 6.1 ± 0.8 ) against melanoma cells, particularly the A375 cell ...

Highly Potent Fluorogenic Ligands for Triplex DNA: 5‐Substituted 2‐(Naphthalen‐2‐yl)‐4H‐Chromen‐4‐Ones

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 30, 13 August 2026.
5‐Substituted 2‐(naphthalen‐2‐yl)‐4H‐chromen‐4‐ones are reported as a novel class of highly potent and selective triplex DNA ligands. These ligands induce triplex formation at submicromolar concentrations and inhibit enzymatic activity via ligand‐mediated triplex formation.
