Urine tested positive for ethyl glucuronide and ethyl sulfate after the consumption of yeast and sugar

Forensic Science International, 2010
To an increasing degree, EtG and EtS are routinely used for the proof of abstinence for purposes of traffic, occupational, addiction and social medicine. This routine use demands further investigations on the sensitivity and specificity of these analytes and the examination of possible genesis of positive EtG and EtS concentrations even without the ...

Thermal Resistance of Holmium Ethyl Sulfate

Physical Review Letters, 1962
A maximum in the thermal resistance of holmium ethyl sulfate as a function of magnetic field below 5 deg K is explained as resulting from the attenuation of a low-level optical phonon mode that is capable of carrying thermal currents, A second maximum is predicted in the range of acoustic modes of phonons.

Evaluation of a novel method for the analysis of alcohol biomarkers: Ethyl glucuronide, ethyl sulfate and phosphatidylethanol

Alcohol, 2018
Currently available markers and methods to evaluate alcohol consumption are indirect and suboptimal, or rely on self-report, which have inherent problems. Direct metabolites of alcohol, phosphatidylethanol (PEth), ethyl sulfate (EtS), and ethyl glucuronide (EtG), are known to improve diagnostic accuracy.

Paramagnetic Relaxation and Resonance in Neodymium Ethyl Sulfate

physica status solidi (b), 1971
AbstractUsing two different measuring methods the temperature, magnetic field, and angular dependence of the spin‐lattice relaxation time were studied in neodymium ethyl sulfate crystals with natural isotopic abundance of Nd ions and crystals enriched with the isotope 142Nd.

A New Method for the Quantification of Ethyl Sulfate and Isopropyl Sulfate Contents in Abacavir Sulfate by Ion Chromatography

Journal of Chromatographic Science
Abstract A predictable new method was developed and validated for the determination of ethyl sulfate (EtS) and isopropyl sulfate (IprS) contents in abacavir sulfate (ABS) drug substance by ion chromatography (IC). Ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and sulfuric acids were used in the manufacturing process of ABS.

The synthesis and reactions of β‐substituted ethyl sulfates

Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 1972
AbstractThe synthesis of β‐substituted ethyl sulfates and their reactions with nucleophilic reagents has been studied. Amines, phenolates, carboxylates, amine oxides, carbanions, and thiophenolates reacted with ethylene sulfate in high yield, with short reaction times, and at low temperatures, to form β‐substituted ethyl sulfates.

Experimental study of the density and viscosity of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethyl sulfate

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 2012
Abstract Density and viscosity of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethyl sulfate [EMIM][EtSO 4 ] have been measured over the temperature range from (283.15 to 413.15) K and at pressures up to 140 MPa and in the temperature range from (283.15 to 373.15) K at 0.1 MPa, respectively.

The development and validation of the method for the identification of ethyl glucuronide and ethyl sulfate as the markers of the consumption of ethyl alcohol during one's lifetime

Sudebno-meditsinskaya ekspertiza, 2018
The objective of the present study was the development and validation of the rapid reproducible method for the identification of ethyl glucuronide and ethyl sulfate allowing to store and transport the study specimens without the loss of the substances of interest by placing the samples on the paper.

A Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry Assay for Quantification of Ethyl Glucuronide and Ethyl Sulfate in Urine

2023
Ethyl glucuronide and ethyl sulfate emerged as the biomarkers of choice for detection of ethanol use as the required sample is urine, enabling easy and noninvasive collection. Further, these biomarkers have a longer detection window in urine than blood ethanol.

Analysis of ethyl glucuronide and ethyl sulfate using aqueous normal‐phase chromatography with mass spectrometry

Journal of Separation Science, 2015
The use of aqueous normal‐phase chromatography is explored as a possible format for the analysis of the forensically significant compounds ethyl glucuronide and ethyl sulfate. Standard solutions of the two compounds are used to verify the retention capabilities of two stationary phases (diamond hydride and undecanoic acid).
