Renormalization of earthquake aftershocks
Together with the Gutenberg-Richter distribution of earthquake magnitudes, Omori's law is the best established empirical characterization of earthquake sequences and states that the number of smaller earthquakes per unit time triggered by a main shock ...

Event triggered data acquisition in the Rock Mechanics Laboratory [PDF]
Increasing complexity of experiments coupled with limitations of the previously used computers required improvements in both hardware and software in the Rock Mechanics Laboratories. Increasing numbers of input channels and the need for better graphics could no longer be supplied by DATAVG, an existing software package for data acquisition and display ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

The event-triggered predictor design problem for a class of nonlinear MIMO systems with large time delays is investigated in this paper. A periodic event-triggered mechanism is designed to avoid unnecessary data transmission and save communication energy.

Three-Dimensional Event-Triggered Predefined-Time Cooperative Guidance Law
To address the problem of multiple missiles attacking a maneuvering target simultaneously in three-dimensional space, we propose a new predefined-time cooperative guidance law based on an event-triggered mechanism.

An inclusive baryon to meson enhancement with increase in multiplicity has been observed in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$= 7 TeV. Such a striking feature of the data can be explained by approaches based on hydrodynamics and multi-parton interactions (MPI ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

This paper investigates the state estimation and event-triggered control for positive nonlinear multi-agent systems. Firstly, a proportional–integral observer is established to estimate the states of the considered nonlinear positive multi-agent systems ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.
