Exponential Synchronization of Chaotic Lur’e Systems Using an Adaptive Event-Triggered Mechanism

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper investigates event-triggered exponential synchronization of master-slave chaotic Lur'e systems (CLSs). First, in order to save communication resources, a novel event-based transmission strategy is developed using continuous-time measurements ...

The Role of Erupting Sigmoid in Triggering a Flare with Parallel and Large-Scale Quasi-Circular Ribbons

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we present observations and analysis of an interesting sigmoid formation, eruption and the associated flare that occurred on 2014 April 18 using multi-wavelength data sets. We discuss the possible role of the sigmoid eruption in triggering

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Data-Driven Event-Triggered Platoon Control under Denial-of-Service Attacks

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
This paper proposes an event-triggered model-free adaptive platoon control (MFAPC) solution for non-linear vehicle systems under denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.

Human-triggered earthquakes and their impacts on human security [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A comprehensive understanding of earthquake risks in urbanized regions requires an accurate assessment of both urban vulnerabilities and earthquake hazards.

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.

Event-Triggered Adaptive Control for Multi-Agent Systems Utilizing Historical Information

open access: yesMathematics
In this study, an adaptive event-driven coordination paradigm is proposed for achieving consensus in nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) over directed networks. First, a newly dynamic event-triggered mechanism with single-point historical information is

Event-triggered consensus control for discrete-time stochastic multi-agent systems: The input-to-state stability in probability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper is concerned with the event-triggered consensus control problem for a class of discrete-time stochastic multi-agent systems with state-dependent noises.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Leader-Following Output Consensus for High-Order Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems by Distributed Event-Triggered Strategy via Sampled Data Information

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, the observer-based leader-following output consensus problem is investigated for high-order nonlinear multi-agent systems with a distributed event-triggered mechanism. The system dynamics are described as a strict-feedback form and satisfy
