Quantifying the effect of isoflurane and nitrous oxide on somatosensory-evoked potentials
Anaesthetic techniques may have a significant effect on intraoperative-evoked potentials (EP). The present study is designed to compare Propofol anaesthesia with Isoflurane (with or without nitrous oxide) during intraoperative somatosensory-evoked ...

Data from a prospective cohort with 112 auditory brainstem implant users are analyzed. Younger age at implantation (<3 years), less severe inner‐ear malformation (common cavity, cochlear aplasia, and hypoplasia), and more intraoperative eABR evoked electrodes (≥60%) are associated with better hearing and speech outcomes.

Micromagnetic stimulation (µMS) offers a precise method for neural inhibition, complementing existing neuromodulation techniques. Using an implantable micro‐coil device, µMS selectively suppresses cortical activity with high spatial resolution. It effectively counteracts micro‐electrode stimulation and reduces seizure amplitude, highlighting its ...

Protocol for electrophysiological monitoring of carotid endarterectomies. [PDF]
Near zero stroke rates can be achieved in carotid endarterectomy (CEA) surgery with selective shunting and electrophysiological neuromonitoring. though false negative rates as high as 40% have been reported.
