Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1B‐Mediated Granulosa Cell Insulin Resistance Links Metabolic Stress to Aging‐Relevant Ovarian Dysfunction and Is Reversed by Gengnianchun

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 6, June 2026.
Metabolic stress induces insulin resistance and upregulates PTP1B in granulosa cells, leading to aging‐relevant ovarian dysfunction. Gengnianchun (GNC) suppresses PTP1B, restores IRS1–AKT2–GLUT4 signaling, and preserves follicles, highlighting PTP1B as a therapeutic target for ovarian dysfunction in metabolically vulnerable states.

Tumour Necrosis Factor‐α Promotes Pyroptosis in Diabetic Liver Injury via the HMGB1/TLR4/MyD88/NF‐κB Pathway

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 11, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Diabetic liver injury (DLI) is a serious inflammatory complication, with tumour necrosis factor‐alpha (TNF‐α) recognized as a key pro‐inflammatory cytokine. This study aimed to investigate the protective effect of TNF‐α inhibition on DLI and to elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms, focusing on the novel role of pyroptosis.

Curcumin Targets Crispld2 to Suppress Hepatic Stellate Cell Activation via PI3K/AKT Pathway Inhibition in Hepatic Fibrosis

open access: yesLiver International, Volume 46, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background & Aims Hepatic fibrosis (HF) is a key pathological process in the development of chronic liver disease, and the activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) is its core driving factor. Although curcumin, as a natural polyphenolic compound, has therapeutic potential, its specific mechanism in HF is still unclear.

Maternal cardiometabolic dysfunction and fetal sex‐specific alterations to uterine vascular reactivity in an ovine model of obesity during pregnancy

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 12, Page 5011-5030, 15 June 2026.
Abstract figure legend We developed a novel ovine model of diet‐induced maternal obesity, where ewes were fed a control or obesogenic diet for 60 days pre‐pregnancy and throughout gestation. Pregnant ewes were surgically instrumented to assess maternal cardiovascular function near term.
