The exponential excess Gibbs energy model revisited
Calphad: Computer Coupling of Phase Diagrams and Thermochemistry, 2017Abstract The exponential model for the temperature (T) dependence of the excess Gibbs energy of liquid solutions within the framework of the Redlich-Kister polynomials is proven to be an efficient tool to avoid high-T artefacts, such as an artificial inverted miscibility gap, caused by the linear model.

Critical scaling laws and an excess Gibbs energy model
Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1998Abstract Excess Gibbs energy models which are widely used in modelling thermodynamic properties of multicomponent liquid phases are based on the assumption that long-range density or concentration fluctuations can be neglected. This assumption is no longer valid near a system's critical point, where large density or concentration fluctuations ...

On Temperature Dependence of Excess Gibbs Energy
Collection of Czechoslovak Chemical Communications, 1999Temperature dependence of GE is discussed for three widely used equations linear and nonlinear in parameters. It is shown that the Wilson equation predicts always positive excess heat capacity regardless of values of its parameters. Several temperature modifications of the Redlich-Kister, Wilson and NRTL equations are discussed with respect to the sign
