Excess enthalpies, excess Gibbs free energies, and excess volumes for (di-n-butyl ether + benzene) and excess Gibbs free energies and excess volumes for (di-n-butyl ether + tetrachloromethane) at 298.15 and 308.15 K

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 1981
Abstract Excess enthalpies H E , excess volumes V E , and excess Gibbs free energies G E are reported over the entire composition range for di- n -butyl ether + benzene at 298.15 and 308.15 K. G E 's and V E 's are reported over the entire composition range for di- n -butyl ether + tetrachloromethane at the same temperatures.

Excess Gibbs free energies, excess enthalpies, excess volumes, and isothermal compressibilities of cyclohexane + 2,3-dimethylbutane

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 1974
Excess enthalpies HE and excess volumes VE of cyclohexane + 2,3-dimethylbutane have been measured at 288.15, 298.15, and 308.15 K. Excess Gibbs free energies GE at these temperatures have been obtained from vapour-pressure measurements at 298.15 K, together with values of ∂HE∂T.

A modified heil‐prausnitz equation for excess gibbs energy

The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, 1977
AbstractAn equation for the Gibbs excess energy, similar to that of Heil‐Prausnitz, is derived on the basis of the lattice theory of fluids. This equation takes into account both the enthalpic and entropic contributions to GE for liquid mixtures, and in addition uses the αij parameter of Renon‐Prausnitz.

Excess Gibbs energies and excess volumes of the mixtures ethanoic acid + 1,4-dioxane and oxolane

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1990
Abstract Excess Gibbs energies were determined for ethanoic acid + 1,4-dioxane and for ethanoic acid + oxolane from melting curves. In the case of ethanoic acid + oxolane, where the low temperature part of the melting curve was not measured, dynamic vapour—liquid equilibrium measurements with a circulating still were also performed. Both systems show

A study of the excess gibbs energy of ribonuclease a - water mixtures

2014
© 2014 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved. Water sorption measurements were applied to characterize the hydration dependencies of the excess thermodynamic functions of binary protein-water mixtures. The aim of this study is to demonstrate how these quantities correlate with the coverage of the protein macromolecules by water molecules.

Quantification of flotation activity by means of excess Gibbs free energies

Minerals Engineering, 1999
Abstract Flotation activity is related to the Excess Gibbs Free Energies (G ex ) of the binary system, [adsorbed collector-water]. In this investigation, the studied variables are; activity coefficients, surface coverage by collector molecules (mole fraction) and absolute temperature.
