Formation of a combined electron-hole emission state in the LiRbSO4 – Eu phosphor
In the irradiated phosphor 4 LiRbSO Eu , the mechanisms of formation of the induced or combined electron-emitting state at 3.1-2.94 eV were studied using optical and thermal activation spectroscopy methods.

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Backreaction of excitations on a domain wall [PDF]
Backreaction of excitations on a planar domain wall in a real scalar field model is investigated in the cases of homogeneous, plane wave and wave packet type excitations. It is found that the excited domain wall radiates. The method of calculating backreaction for the general forms of excitations is also presented.

In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

Theoretical method for the study of the excited states of a system [PDF]
A novel, exact, theoretical method for the study of the excited states of a system is presented. It is demonstrated how to transform the excited state problem of one Hamiltonian into the ground state problem of an auxiliary one. From this, a new exact density functional suitable for excited states is constructed.

Circulating tumor cells: advancing personalized therapy in small cell lung cancer patients
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive form of lung cancer that spreads rapidly to secondary sites such as the brain and liver. Cancer cells circulating in the blood, “circulating tumor cells” (CTCs), have demonstrated prognostic value in SCLC, and evaluating biomarkers on CTCs could guide treatment decisions such as for PARP inhibitors ...

Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

ON THE MEASURE OF EXCITABILITY [PDF]
Recent time-intensity data by Rushton (1932) on the sciatic nerve of the frog are shown to provide additional support to the writer's suggestion (1932, a) that integrals of the equation See PDF for Equation where V is the applied voltage, p is the local excitatory process and K and k are constants adequately represent the ...
