Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Existence, uniqueness and numerical solution of a fractional PDE with integral conditions
This paper is devoted to the solution of one-dimensional Fractional Partial Differential Equation (FPDE) with nonlocal integral conditions. These FPDEs have been of considerable interest in the recent literature because fractional-order derivatives and ...

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Existence and uniqueness results for a time-fractional nonlinear diffusion equation
In this work we consider a nonlinear ordinary integro-differential equation which arises in the studies of time-fractional porous medium equation. The nonlocality of the resulting free-boundary problem is governed by the Erdelyi–Kober operator which ...

From tumor‐centric to ecosystem‐based hypotheses in brain tumor research and care
Primary brain tumors, whether in adults or children, present a major challenge because of their dramatic prognosis and the ongoing lack of efficient therapeutic approaches. In recent years, a shift has occurred from tumor‐centric concepts to a more holistic view of these tumors as dynamic ecosystems.

On an Inverse Boundary Value Problem for a Fourth Order Elliptic Equation with Integral Condition
An inverse boundary value problem for a fourth order elliptic equation is investigated. At first the initial problem is reduced to the equivalent problem for which the existence and uniqueness theorem of the solution is proved. Further, using these facts,
