The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

The Importance of Dynamic Evolving Architecture

open access: yesArdeth
Broken World thinking encourages us to view existing buildings through a new lens, shifting our focus on sustainability from absolute measures like carbon emissions and energy consumption to circularity within the built environment. Existing and historic

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Preliminary Study on Measures to Improve Fire Safety in Existing High-Rise Residential Buildings with Combustible Façades

open access: yesBuildings
The tragic fires at the Grenfell Tower (London, UK) in 2017 and the building in the Campanar neighbourhood (Valencia, Spain) in 2024, among other fires, occurring in existing high-rise residential buildings with combustible façades, have prompted a ...

Risk assessment and retrofit of existing buildings

open access: yesBulletin of the New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineering, 2000
The structural risk assessment and evaluation process is broken into the steps of Develop knowledge of as-built conditions, Determine local response characteristics, Create mathematical model, Perform global analysis, Determine acceptability, and Select retrofit procedure/Classify per evaluation procedure and each step discussed.

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...
