Spin-Orbital Evolution of Exoplanets

EAS Publications Series, 2003
We investigated the equation describing the evolution of the kinetic momentum vector of planets by the action of gravitational and magnetic interaction. The obtained gallery of portraits of the kinetic momentum evolution illustrates the various regimes of planetary system evolution.

Evolution of Angular Momentum Distribution in Exoplanet Systems

Astrophysics, 2015
The distribution of angular momentum is investigated in “star–planet systems, taking due account of stellar evolution effects. Numerical simulation is carried out for 15 systems for which stellar rotation data are available. Consideration of changes in stellar structure is confirmed to be significant for the evolution of momentum distribution.

The Irradiation-Driven Evolution of Gas-Giant Exoplanets

2022
Nearly thirty years after their initial discovery, we now know of over five thousand extrasolar planets. Intensive efforts have been made to characterize the sizes, masses, orbits, and compositions of these new worlds, and the resulting population challenges our intuition from the Solar System.

Tidal evolution of close-in exoplanets

2014
The continuous action of tides modify the rotation of close-in planets together with its orbit until an equilibrium situation is reached. It is often believed that synchronous motion is the most probable outcome of the tidal evolution process, since synchronous rotation is observed for the majority of the satellites in the solar system. However, in the

Evolution of Exoplanet Detection Techniques

The discovery of exoplanets has transformed modern astrophysics, offering crucial insights  helping  us to understand planetary systems beyond our own. This paper reviews the various methods of exoplanet detection, outlining how these methods have improved and raised our understanding about the characteristics of these exoplanets.
