Experience-based deductive learning
[Proceedings] Third International Conference on Tools for Artificial Intelligence - TAI 91, 2002A method of deductive learning is proposed to control deductive inference. The goal is to improve problem solving time by experience, when that experience monotonically adds knowledge to the knowledge base. Accumulating and exploiting experience are done by the schemes of knowledge migration and knowledge shadowing.

Experience with Rast-Based Immunotherapy
Otolaryngologic Clinics of North America, 1992During its 80 year history, allergen immunotherapy has been used essentially as Noon and other early investigators described it. Immunotherapy is practiced mainly as an art based on uncontrolled clinical observations of individual patients treated in private practice.

A ground based parasitic SAR experiment
IEEE 1999 International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. IGARSS'99 (Cat. No.99CH36293), 2000The authors present the experimental test of a SAR system that uses a fixed ground-based receiver and, as an illuminator, a TV broadcasting satellite. The synthetic aperture is obtained by exploiting the small daily motion of the satellite. The spatial resolution and the link budget are also analyzed.

Experience-based imitation using RNNPB
Advanced Robotics, 2006Robot imitation is a useful and promising alternative to robot programming. Robot imitation involves two crucial issues. The first is how a robot can imitate a human whose physical structure and properties differ greatly from its own. The second is how the robot can generate various motions from finite programmable patterns (generalization). This paper

Context-Based Development of Experience Bases
2013The experience of experts relies on the process of decision-making jointly with the progressive elaboration of a context-specific model. However, context modeling generally stays implicit because only the result of the decision-making process matters.

Experiment Based Validation of CIIP
2006The connection between critical infrastructure Protection (CIP) and critical information infrastructures protection (CIIP) is a major research area. We describe our view of how a combined experimental approach can be used to build targeted resilient software required for critical infrastructure.

Designing A Successful HMD-Based Experience
Presence: Teleoperators and Virtual Environments, 1999For entertainment applications, a successful virtual experience based on a head-mounted display (HMD) needs to overcome some or all of the following problems: entering a virtual world is a jarring experience, people do not naturally turn their heads or talk to each other while wearing an HMD, putting on the equipment is hard, and people do not realize

Experience-based optimization of robotic perception
2017 18th International Conference on Advanced Robotics (ICAR), 2017As the performance of key perception tasks heavily depends on their parametrization, deploying versatile robots to different application domains will also require a way to tune these changing scenarios by their operators. As many of these tunings are found by trial and error basically by experts as well, and the quality criteria change from application

Experience-Based Model Refinement
2011The resilience of a software system can be guaranteed, among other techniques, by model checking. In that setting, it consists in exploring every execution of the system to detect violations of resilience properties. One approach is to automatically transform the program into a model.

Experience Based Process Improvement
2002Software process improvement is often defined and framed by general maturity models such as CMM or SPICE. Those models are applicable over a wide range of companies and contexts. However, specific experiences can make important contributions of a different kind to process improvement.
