Results of treatment methods in the long term of experimental septic arthritis
The effects of synovectomy on joint cartilage destruction were investigated by late term experimental septic arthritis in 30 New Zeland rabbits. Antibiotic treatment was begun on the sixth day after staphylococcus aureus inoculation in to the knee joint ...

Effects of ulinastain on experimental arthritis.
Effects of the urinary enzyme inhibitor ulinastatin on experimental arthritis were investigated. Ulinastatin at the dose of 30,000 units/kg/day, i.v., significantly restored the swelling of hind paw, inflammatory score and bone damage in adjuvant arthritic rats.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

The selective inhibition of the Syk tyrosine kinase ameliorates experimental autoimmune arthritis
Autoimmune arthritis – such as rheumatoid arthritis – affect a significant proportion of the population, which can cause everyday joint pain, decreased mobility and reduced quality of life.

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

This review focuses on the role of autophagy and mitophagy in maintaining pancreatic β‐cell function and homeostasis. We discuss how genetic defects affecting these pathways contribute to the development of type 1, type 2, monogenic, and gestational diabetes. We further explore their potential as therapeutic targets. Created in BioRender.

The role of eicosanoids in experimental Lyme arthritis
Experimental Lyme arthritis is an inflammatory arthritis caused by infection of mice with the spirochete, Borrelia burgdorferi. It recapitulates many of the disease parameters seen in human patients with Lyme arthritis, and thus serves as a model system ...

Liposomal targeting of prednisolone phosphate to synovial lining macrophages during experimental arthritis inhibits M1 activation but does not favor M2 differentiation. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: To determine the effects of liposomal targeting of prednisolone phosphate (Lip-PLP) to synovial lining macrophages on M1 and M2 polarization in vitro and during experimental arthritis. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Experimental arthritis (antigen and

Smaller is better: nanobodies meet NMR
Nanobodies are single‐domain antigen‐binding fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies. Their small size, high stability, and exceptional specificity make nanobodies uniquely useful probes for NMR studies of protein dynamics, transient conformational states, and protein–protein interactions.
