Experimental anisakid infections in mice
Journal of Helminthology, 2014AbstractAnisakidosis is a human parasitic disease caused by infections with members of the Anisakidae family. Accidental infection after fish intake affects the gastrointestinal tract as a consequence of mechanical damage caused by migrating larvae. Infections can also trigger allergies, hives, severe asthma or anaphylaxis with angioedema.

Experimental rotavirus infection in lambs
Journal of Comparative Pathology, 1976Abstract Inoculation of lamb rotavirus to gnotobiotic lambs produced a disease characterized by diarrhoea and anorexia. Rotavirus was excreted in the faeces of the lambs for several days. One-day-old lambs were more susceptible than 12-day-old lambs.

The experimental analysis of tuberculous infections

Experimental infection of chickens with Cryptosporidium
Zentralblatt für Bakteriologie, Mikrobiologie und Hygiene. Series A: Medical Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, Virology, Parasitology, 1987To study the clinical and pathological manifestations of Cryptosporidium infections, 24 h-old chickens were inoculated via four routes: orally, nasally, cloacally and by contamination, using 10(5) oocysts of Cryptosporidium in each case. The chickens began to shed oocysts of Cryptosporidium on days 7 to 8 after inoculation.

Experimental Infection of Gibbons with Rhinovirus
Nature, 1969PROGRESS toward the chemotherapy or prophylaxis of human, rhinovirus infections would benefit from studies in suitable experimental animals, but our attempts to produce rhinovirus infection in several small laboratory animals including leopard frogs, guinea-pigs, gerbils, marmosets, and newborn, as well as adult, mice, ferrets and hamsters, have been ...

Experimental models of pulmonary infection
Journal of Microbiological Methods, 2003Experimental models of pulmonary infection are being discussed, focused on various aspects of good experimental design, such as choice of animal species and infecting strain, and route of infection/inoculation techniques (intranasal inoculation, aerosol inoculation, and direct instillation into the lower respiratory tract).

Experimental Infection of Ticks with SFTSV
Many members in the class Bunyaviricetes are tick-borne viruses. Experimental viral infection of ticks is greatly needed to better understand the tick-virus interactions. To date, multiple laboratory techniques for the viral infection of ticks have been documented.Jiao, Xu, Xue-Jie, Yu
