Tailoring MXene Flake Morphology via Aerosol Jet Printing for Biological and Strain Sensor Applications

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Aerosol Jet Printing (AJP), coupled with a novel in situ monitoring method, enabled the controlled fabrication of aligned and crumpled Ti3C2Tx MXenes for diverse applications. Demonstrated across multiple 2D materials, this scalable strategy stablishes flake morphology as a controllable design parameter for engineering application‐specific material ...

Patterning of Artificial Cell Populations Via Laser Induced Forward Transfer for Controlled and Localized Cargo Uptake and Release

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Polypeptide‐based complex coacervate artificial cells were prepared in situ within a viscoelastic matrix and adhered to the biomaterial ink, which was subsequently LIFT‐printed. The artificial cells preserved their structural stability during printing and retained biologically relevant properties, showing controlled cargo uptake and release ...

Tailoring Laser Powder Bed Fusion and Post‐Processing Parameters for JIS SKD61 Tool Steels: Surface Roughness, Microstructure, and Mechanical Properties

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Laser powder bed fusion of JIS SKD61 tool steel is systematically optimized using a Taguchi design and ANOVA. Hatch spacing and layer thickness are identified as dominant parameters controlling surface roughness and tensile strength. Subsequent tempering at 600°C improves microstructural stability and mechanical performance, enabling high‐density SKD61
