ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Functional divergence of duplicate genes, or paralogs, is an important driver of novelty in evolution. In the model yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, there are 547 paralog gene pairs that survive from an interspecies Whole Genome Hybridization (WGH) that ...

Second-order $L^2$-regularity in nonlinear elliptic problems [PDF]
A second-order regularity theory is developed for solutions to a class of quasilinear elliptic equations in divergence form, including the $p$-Laplace equation, with merely square-integrable right-hand side. Our results amount to the existence and square

Divergence and differential expression of soybean actin genes. [PDF]
DNA sequence analysis as well as genomic blotting experiments using cloned soybean actin DNA sequences as probes show that large sequence heterogeneity exists among members of the soybean actin multigene family. This heterogeneity suggested that the members of this family might be diverged in function and/or regulation.

ABSTRACT Purpose Chemoimmunotherapy with irinotecan, temozolomide, and dinutuximab (I/T/DIN) has emerged as first‐line therapy for relapsed/refractory (r/r) high‐risk neuroblastoma (HRNB) in North America. Topotecan and cyclophosphamide (T/C) are often used in combination with dinutuximab in the setting of lack of response, progression, or incomplete ...

ABSTRACT Background Patients with high‐risk neuroblastoma who either are refractory to induction chemotherapy or relapse following multi‐modal treatment have a dismal prognosis. Based on data from the BEACON trial, since 2021 the UK national guidelines recommend bevacizumab, irinotecan, and temozolomide (BIT) for patients with relapsed/refractory ...

Resolution correction for surface X-ray diffraction at high beam exit angles [PDF]
Owing to the two-dimensional periodicity of a superstructure on the crystal surface, the intensity in reciprocal space is continuously distributed along rods normal to the sample surface.

Hawaiian Picture‐Winged Drosophila Exhibit Adaptive Population Divergence along a Narrow Climatic Gradient on Hawaii Island [PDF]
1. Anthropogenic influences on global processes and climatic conditions are increasingly affecting ecosystems throughout the world. 2. Hawaii Island’s native ecosystems are well studied and local long‐term climatic trends well documented, making these ...

Implementing Health‐Related Quality of Life Assessment in Pediatric Oncology: A Feasibility Study
ABSTRACT Background There is growing interest in embedding health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) assessment and patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs) within clinical cancer care. This study evaluated the feasibility, acceptability, and usability of implementing an electronic PROM (ePROM) platform to measure HRQoL in children with cancer ...

Expression, divergence and evolution of the caleosin gene family in Brassica rapa [PDF]
Caleosins (CLO) are oil body-associated proteins encoded by a small gene family. To investigate the expression, functional diversity and evolutionary modes of CLO genes, we isolated and integrally analyzed in silico a total of 11 CLO genes from ...
