Phototherapy via Modulation of β‐Amyloid in Combating Alzheimer's Disease
This review introduces the light‐regulated Aβ aggregation, highlighting four applications: photodynamic therapy (PDT), photothermal therapy (PTT), photopharmacology, and photobiomodulation (PBM) systems. It also summarizes the current issues and proposes the prospects of photo‐induced modulation of Aβ aggregation and clearance as a therapeutic strategy

Abstract Although thermally coupled distillation (TCD) exhibits strong energy efficiency, the possibility of utility cost savings remains debatable. TCD designs that do not consider vapor transport can underestimate costs, making section rearrangement crucial to find more operable configurations.

A Metastable Oxygen Redox Cathode for Lithium‐Ion Batteries
A cobalt‐free Li0.693[Li0.153Ni0.190Mn0.657]O2 (LLNMO) exhibits outstanding electrochemistry by harnessing both cation and anion redox activities. It features a metastable structure with both edge‐sharing (E) and face‐sharing (F) local geometries, distinct from conventional O3‐type structures.

Solution of boundary value problems for batteries: Operator‐theoretic methods
Abstract Batteries with porous electrodes of negligible ionic and electronic conduction resistance are modeled with reaction‐diffusion equations in multilayered media. The classical separation of variables becomes inapplicable to battery problems because of nonlinearities in reaction rates and constraints of imposed current. A linear operator‐theoretic

Click‐chemistry compatible azobenzenes are synthesized and coupled on various positions at the surface of a disulfide‐bridged natural peptide. Monomers and dimers are produced and linked by azobenzene. The impact of azobenzene photoswitching on the ion channel blocking potency of the peptide is evaluated and revealed that proper positioning leads to ...

As non‐alternant hydrocarbons with antiaromatic character, diarenopentalenes are of significant interest. By varying the nature and attachment geometry of the annulated aromatic units, their antiaromaticity and optoelectronic properties can be influenced. Herein, we present a series of thioether‐ and sulfone‐substituted dinaphtho[a,e]pentalenes as well
