Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Advances in Mathematics, 2009 We discuss the Siciak-Zaharjuta extremal function of a real convex body in C^n, a solution of the homogeneous complex Monge-Ampere equation on the exterior of the convex body. We determine several conditions under which a foliation by holomorphic curves can be found in the complement of the convex body along which the extremal function is harmonic.

FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.
