Objective Ultrasound (US) has been proposed as a potential tool for assessing skin fibrosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc). However, a large‐scale comparison of US‐based assessment with histologic markers of skin fibrosis has not been reported. We evaluated US‐based skin assessments for their face validity (differentiation between involved SSc and healthy

Diffusion‐Weighted Imaging for the Evaluation of the Sacroiliac Joint in Pediatric Patients
Objective Maturational signal in the sacroiliac joint (SIJ) of skeletally immature youth is often misinterpreted as inflammation. Diagnostic tools that improve specificity are greatly needed. Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values from diffusion‐weighted imaging (DWI), when used with standard imaging, may enhance diagnostic accuracy.

Objective A patient‐centered approach for chronic disease management, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), aligns treatment with patients’ values and preferences, leading to improved outcomes. This paper summarizes how patient experiences, perspectives, and priorities informed the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) 2024 Lupus Nephritis (LN)

Stable solution and extremal solution for fractional $p$-Laplacian
To our knowledge, this paper is the first attempt to consider the existence issue for fractional $p$-Laplacian equation: $(-Δ)_p^s u= λf(u),\; u> 0 ~\text{in}~Ω;\; u=0\;\text{in}~ \mathbb{R}^N\setminusΩ$, where $p>1$, $s\in (0,1)$, $λ>0$ and $Ω$ is a bounded domain with $C^{1, 1}$ boundary. We first propose a notion of stable solution, then we

Objective We aimed to validate the Pediatric Arthritis Ultrasound Scoring System (PAUSS) for upper extremity joints in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Methods Children with JIA were evaluated for elbow, wrist, or finger arthritis by clinical examination (CE) and musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) with images scored according to the ...

Integral boundary value problems for second-order causal differential equations
This paper is concerned with second-order causal differential equations with Riemann–Stieltjes integral boundary conditions. To obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of extremal solutions for such problems, a novel comparison principle is first ...

Objectives Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies. To help patients and providers in the decision‐making process, we developed

Objective Knee osteoarthritis (OA) commonly affects individuals with Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and is associated with increased risk of diabetes‐related complications. To better understand potential mechanisms, we examined the association between symptomatic knee OA and glycemic control in individuals with T2DM.

Microstates of non-extremal black holes: a new hope
We provide a new roadmap for constructing microstates of non-extremal black holes in supergravity. First, we review the non-linear sigma model of five-dimensional supergravity governing stationary solutions with a U(1) isometry and present the first ...

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...
