The existence of extremal solutions for fractional p-Laplacian problems with the right-handed Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2019
In this paper we study the solvability of fractional p-Laplacian problems involving the righthanded Riemann-Liouville derivative. By applying monotone iterative technique, lower and upper solutions method and the Banach fixed point theorem, we obtain ...

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Noncommutative geometry inspired charged black holes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We find a new, non-commutative geometry inspired, solution of the coupled Einstein-Maxwell field equations describing a variety of charged, self-gravitating objects, including extremal and non-extremal black holes.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Periodic solutions for a class of evolution inclusions

open access: yes, 2018
We consider a periodic evolution inclusion defined on an evolution triple of spaces. The inclusion involves also a subdifferential term. We prove existence theorems for both the convex and the nonconvex problem, and we also produce extremal trajectories.

Symmetry Orbits of Supergravity Black Holes - In Honor of Andrei Slavnov's 75th Birthday [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Black hole solutions of supergravity theories form families that realizing the deep nonlinear duality symmetries of these theories. They form orbits under the action of these symmetry groups, with extremal (i.e.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Non-extremal Stringy Black Hole [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We construct a four-dimensional BPS saturated heterotic string solution from the Taub-NUT solution. It is a non-extremal black hole solution since its Euler number is non-zero. We evaluate its black hole entropy semiclassically.
