Cellular and Molecular Mechanisms regulating Cell Proliferation during the Forebrain Development of the Mouse [PDF]
The predominant precursor cell type during cortical neurogenesis are radial glia cells, which receive extrinsic and intrinsic signals that might influence cell proliferation and neurogenesis.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

A Pressure Microsensor Made of Parylene‐C for Use as Medical Implant
A monolithic parylene‐C pressure sensor with gold strain gauges provides 6.2 μV$\mu{\rm V}$·mmHg$\cdot{\rm mmHg}$−1$^{-1}$ sensitivity. The morphology of a sputtered thin film strain sensor is granular/columnar, which results in a high gauge factor of 7.5. Thermal bonding and parylene‐C coating create a hermetic cavity.

At Home Detection of Ovarian Health Biomarker in Menstruation Blood
A lateral flow assay enables the detection of anti‐Müllerian hormone directly in unprocessed menstrual blood using silica‐gold nanoshells and smartphone‐assisted machine learning analysis. The platform supports decentralized, user‐operated testing in wearable and dipstick formats, highlighting the potential of menstrual blood as a non‐invasive matrix ...

S100A8 and A9 proteins regulate expression of key genes for inflammation and wound healing.
Pterygium is a common ocular surface disease characterized by centripetal invasion of the conjunctival epithelium onto the cornea. The disease has a wing-shaped phenotype accompanied by inflammatory infiltrate and accumulation of proteases and ...

Neodymium‐Doped Nanocrystals for Sensing Cellular Temperature at the Nanoscale
Neodymium‐doped NaYF4 nanocrystals are engineered as bright, biocompatible nanothermometers for intracellular temperature mapping. Their ratiometric near‐infrared emission enables highly sensitive, nanoscale thermal readouts in living cells. Combined with gold nanostars for photothermal therapy, they reveal pronounced subcellular heating heterogeneity ...
