F-theory superspace backgrounds
F-theory is the theory proposed to incorporate superstring theory in a way such that STU dualities are manifest. A useful description uses a current superalgebra on a higher-dimensional worldvolume, following from an action for a selfdual gauge field. Here the group "metric" appearing in the Schwinger (central charge) term of this current superalgebra ...

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Implications of vanishing complexity condition in $$f({\textbf{R}})$$ f ( R ) theory
This paper introduces the concept of complexity for a static spherical spacetime and extends it to the modified $$f({\textbf{R}})$$ f ( R ) framework. The formulation of the corresponding field equations is then carried out to describe the anisotropic ...

This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Viable and stable compact stars in $$f({\mathcal {Q}})$$ f ( Q ) theory
In this paper, we study the viability and stability of anisotropic compact stars in the context of $$f({\mathcal {Q}})$$ f ( Q ) theory, where $${\mathcal {Q}}$$ Q is non-metricity scalar.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.

We present F-theories that reduce to 10D Type II Green-Schwarz superstrings. They vary in manifest U-duality according to division between spacetime and "internal" coordinates. They are defined by selfdual current superalgebras in higher worldvolume dimensions with manifest $\mathrm G\times \mathrm G'$ symmetry where the spacetime symmetry $\mathrm G ...

Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).
