Has F5 Really Been Broken?

open access: yes, 2009
The publicly-available F5 software (F5Software) implementation takes a possibly compressed cover image, decompresses it if necessary, and embeds the hidden message during a second compression process. This procedure introduces a risk that the stego image

Integrated Visible Light and Oxidant Protection Through Multifunctional Sunscreens

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
High‐energy visible radiation (HEVR), although less energetic than UV light, penetrates deeper into the skin and contributes to photoaging, pigmentation disorders, and oxidative stress. The development of new HEVR‐targeted filters, therefore, represents not only a scientific challenge but also a pressing public health and cosmetic industry need.

Quantum computation of Groebner basis through F4 and F5 algorithms

open access: yes, 2022
Our main concern in this article is how to apply quantum algorithms to compute Groebner basis through Faugere's F4 and F5 algorithms, which are regarded as the most effective algorithms for this purpose.

Asymmetry in Skipping Enhances Viability Against Control Input Noise

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Quadruped animals use asymmetric galloping gaits at high speeds, yet the functional role of this asymmetry remains unclear. This study shows that left–right asymmetry in touchdown angles enhances robustness to control noise. Using a simple two‐legged locomotion model and viability theory, it demonstrates that asymmetric skipping substantially enlarges ...

How Much can F5 Really Do [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Our purpose is to compare how much the F5 algorithm can gain in efficiency compared to the F4 algorithm. This can be achieve as the F5 algorithm uses the concept of signatures to foresee potential useless computation which the F4 algorithm might make ...

Effect of Alkyl Chain Length on the Bandgap, Ferroelectric, and Photoelectric Properties of Lead‐Based Molecular Ferroelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops a novel 2D molecular ferroelectric [C6N2H18]PbI4 with polarization enhanced photovoltaics. It systematically investigates the effect of alkylamine spacer cation chain lengths on the band gap, ferroelectric, and photoelectric properties, offering new design strategies.

Non‐Uniform Space‐Time‐Coding Modulation for Low‐Complexity Diagnostics of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A diagnostic method for reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) based on non‐uniform space‐time‐coding modulation is presented. Fault localization is achieved via amplitude‐only spectral measurements, eliminating the need for complex signal processing. A one‐to‐one mapping between harmonic components and RIS elements enables accurate detection.
