Sometimes the impact factor outshines the H index
Journal impact factor (which reflects a particular journal's quality) and H index (which reflects the number and quality of an author's publications) are two measures of research quality.

On the choosability of $H$-minor-free graphs [PDF]
Given a graph $H$, let us denote by $f_\chi(H)$ and $f_\ell(H)$, respectively, the maximum chromatic number and the maximum list chromatic number of $H$-minor-free graphs. Hadwiger's famous coloring conjecture from 1943 states that $f_\chi(K_t)=t-1$ for every $t \ge 2$.

Discrete Rubio de Francia extrapolation theorem via factorization of weights and iterated algorithms [PDF]
In this paper, we prove a discrete Rubio de Francia extrapolation theorem via factorization of discrete Muckenhoupt weights and discrete iterated Rubio de Francia algorithm and its duality.

Standardisation of the factor H autoantibody assay
The screening of all atypical haemolytic uraemic syndrome (aHUS) patients for factor H autoantibodies is best practice. However, there is no consensus assay for the reporting of factor H autoantibody titres. In this study, three European complement laboratories with expertise in the field of autoantibody testing address this by systematically ...

Factor H Family Proteins in Complement Evasion of Microorganisms
Human-pathogenic microbes possess various means to avoid destruction by our immune system. These include interactions with the host complement system that may facilitate pathogen entry into cells and tissues, expression of molecules that defuse the ...

The complement factor H-related (FHR) proteins are hypothesized to fine-tune the regulatory role of complement factor H (FH) in the alternative pathway of the complement system.

Complement and disease: better no factor H than bad factor H [PDF]
Within just a few minutes the complement system (1) can label a foreign cell that has invaded the bloodstream with millions of copies of C3b. Destruction or clearance of the C3b-coated invader quickly follows. C3b is the activated cleavage product of C3, an abundant serum protein.

The complement factor H‐related proteins
SummaryThe role of the complement factor H‐related (FHR) proteins in homeostasis, pathogen defense, and autoimmune disease has recently attracted considerable interest. We highlight the exciting research that has contributed to our understanding of the FHR protein family. Unlike factor H, a potent negative regulator of complement C3 activation, the FHR
