Factor Prices, Factor Proportions, and Regional Factor Endowments

Journal of Political Economy, 1970
in two-digit manufacturing industries. These tests were based on the theoretical proposition that the South, being relatively labor-abundant by comparison with the non-South, should possess a comparative advantage in producing relatively labor-intensive commodities.

The standards factor

ACM SIGCHI Bulletin, 1989
As the newly-appointed SIGCHI Standards Liaison, I hope to continue in the fine tradition established by Jon Meads over the past several years. As I see it, my primary task is to inform SIGCHI members about any standards activities that may affect them as designers and users of interactive software.

FACTOR INTERACTION IN NONLINEAR FACTOR ANALYSIS

British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, 1967
Factor interaction models are defined as those cases in nonlinear factor analysis in which the specification equation contains products of two or more latent variables or functions of latent variables. A complete algebraic treatment is given for the case of a product of two latent variables, and certain more general cases are briefly outlined.

Transfer Factor

CRC Critical Reviews in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, 1980
It has been more than 30 years since Dr. H. S. Lawrence first reported that it was possible to transfer delayed-type hypersensitivity from sensitized donors to unsensitized recipients with lysates of blood leukocytes. During recent years, research from several laboratories has demonstrated that this effect is immunologically specific.

Free Factorizations

Applied Categorical Structures, 2001
Let \(\mathcal K\) be a category. We say that a functor \(F:\mathcal K \to\mathcal L\) preserves a class \(\mathcal E\) of \(\mathcal K\)-epimorphisms (or a class \( \mathcal M\) of \(\mathcal K\)-monomorphisms) if \(F(\mathcal E)\) (or \(F(\mathcal M)\)) is a subclass of \(\mathcal L\)-epimorphisms (or \(\mathcal L\)-monomorphisms).

The Human Factor

IEEE Software, 2017
This installment reports on five papers from the 39th International Conference on Software Engineering and its collocated events. These papers focus on human factors in software engineering, with the last three dealing with open source software.

Factoring Effectiveness Factors!

Journal of the Operational Research Society, 1990
It has previously been suggested that the effectiveness of strategic planning systems may be characterized in terms of a multi-attribute framework. This paper explores the possibility of reducing the postulated set of attributes to an ‘irreducible core’ by means of a factor analysis.

Ovum factor and early pregnancy factor.

Current topics in developmental biology, 1987
This chapter describes experimental evidences, which shows that production of early pregnancy factor (EPF) is initiated by fertilization and that its presence in serum monitors the viability of the conceptus for at least the first half of gestation. Furthermore, EPF is necessary for the continued survival of the conceptus.

On the Twiddling Factors

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1973
Concepts of group theory are used to explain the difference between two major fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithms and the relation between FFT and fast Walsh transforms.

The Factors in Factoring Behavior

Psychometrika, 1951
Twenty years have now elapsed since Professor Thurstone’s ingenuity pulled the factor problem out of its tetrad difference quagmire. Most of us have watched Thurstone’s brain-child grow. One might say that the fledgling was so precocious as to reach maturity during the first ten years of its life.
