Falling Film Evaporator: Drying of Ionic Liquids with Low Thermal Stress
The removal of water from an aqueous ionic liquid (IL) water solution is a new application for falling film evaporators (FFE). As FFE are able to operate at conditions with small thermal gradient and small residence time in the heated zone, the resulting

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Numerical simulation of non-linear film variation and heat transfer characteristics in falling film
In falling film evaporation on a horizontal tube, heat transfer phenomena are highly unpredictable due to uncertainties in the determination of film thickness around the tube, local dry-out condition, geometrical configuration, tube spacing etc ...

Spin Injection Of Exciton–Polaritons With Halide Perovskites At Room Temperature
A monolithic Tamm‐plasmon microcavity embedding a two‐dimensional halide perovskite enables room‐temperature spin injection of exciton‐polaritons under quasi‐resonant optical excitation. Polarization‐resolved spectroscopy reveals partial preservation of the injected spin in the lower polariton branch, while bare excitons remain fully depolarized.

A Numerical Study on Falling Film Evaporation with Wall Heat Flux and Pulsating Airflow
In the current work, pulsating airflow and an external heat source are proposed to improve the evaporation performance of falling films. A volume of fluid (VOF) multiphase flow model is established based on the commercial software ANSYS Fluent 2023 R1 ...

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

Thermal conductivity changes non‐monotonically as regioregular (RR) and regiorandom (RRa) P3HT films are doped with F4TCNQ as a function of the extent to which P3HT is doped: an increase in thermal conductivity is observed upon lightly doping P3HT compared to the undoped film, followed by a decrease in the heavily doped regime. ABSTRACT The performance
