Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Search times and false targets

open access: yes, 1989
This report describes an analysis of some simulated search time data. The purpose of the report is to provide a guide for estimating the impact of false targets on the time a searcher is exposed to hostile action. The program that was used to generate the search time data is listed in the report. Keywords: Search; False targets; Search time.

Radar False Alarm Suppression Based on Target Spatial Temporal Stationarity for UAV Detecting

open access: yesDrones
Due to its ease of implementation without an additional transmitter, radar communication integrated systems using conventional communication signals have become an effective means for monitoring unmanned aerial vehicles and other aircraft. However, their

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Variable pulse width dexterous jamming based on chaotic sampling fusion [PDF]

open access: yesZhihui kongzhi yu fangzhen
Aiming at the problem of strong distribution regularity of false targets in traditional repetitive repeater deception jamming, this paper proposes a variable pulse width smart jamming method based on intermittent chaotic sampling from the perspective of ...

Deciphering Seed Sequence Based Off-Target Effects in a Large-Scale RNAi Reporter Screen for E-Cadherin Expression. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Functional RNAi based screening is affected by large numbers of false positive and negative hits due to prevalent sequence based off-target effects.

A Novel Deceptive Jamming Approach for Hiding Actual Target and Generating False Targets

open access: yesWireless Communications and Mobile Computing, 2021
Deceptive jamming is a popular electronic countermeasure (ECM) technique that generates false targets to confuse opponent surveillance radars. This work presents a novel approach for hiding the actual target while producing multiple false targets at the same time against frequency diverse array (FDA) radar.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...
