An idea of designing novel sensors is proposed by creating appropriate Schottky barriers and vacancies between isomorphous Core‐CuOii/ Shell‐CuOi secondary microspheres and enhancing catalytic and spill‐over effects, and electronegativity via spontaneous biphasic separation, self‐assembly, and trace‐Ni‐doping.

Effects of Carbon Nanoparticles on Triboelectro‐Induced Surface Defects
Carbon nanoparticles added to grease modify the electrocontact behavior. The synergy of particle concentration and electric current dominates the surface damage of metals in contact. Electrical surface damage caused by current leakage is a critical challenge in high‐performance applications such as electric vehicle (EV) drivetrains and wind turbine ...

Herein, environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) is discussed as a powerful extension of conventional SEM for life sciences. By combining high‐resolution imaging with variable pressure and humidity, ESEM allows the analysis of untreated biological materials, supports in situ monitoring of hydration‐driven changes, and advances the functional ...

Physics of beam-driven ion cyclotron emission in the large plasma device
Ion cyclotron emission (ICE) is widely observed from spatially localised minority energetic ion populations in toroidal magnetically confined fusion (MCF) plasmas, both tokamaks and stellarators.

X-ray and gamma-ray line production by nonthermal ions [PDF]
X-ray production was calculated at approximately 6.8 keV by the 2p to 1s transition in fast hydrogen- and helium-like iron ions, following both electron capture to excited levels and collisional excitation.

Mobilities of uranium and mercury ions in helium [PDF]
The mobilities of mass-identified U(+) and Hg (+) ions in helium were determined in a drift tube-mass spectrometer. For uranium ions, a reduced mobility value is obtained at 305 K and a standard gas density of 2.69 x 10 to the 19th power/cu cm.

A statistical framework is applied to quantify the distribution of electrical resistivity among individual filaments of two commercially available carbon fiber types. Correlations between filament resistivity, tensile modulus, and diameter are examined and complemented by TEM analysis to provide new insight into filament‐level variability relevant for ...
