General Path Planning Methodology for Leader-Follower Robot Formations
This paper describes a robust algorithm for mobile robot formations based on the Voronoi Fast Marching path planning method. This is based on the propagation of a wave throughout the model of the environment, the wave expanding faster as the wave's ...

Molecular Surface Mesh Generation by Filtering Electron Density Map
Bioinformatics applied to macromolecules are now widely spread and in continuous expansion. In this context, representing external molecular surface such as the Van der Waals Surface or the Solvent Excluded Surface can be useful for several applications.

An Image Inpainting Technique Based on the Fast Marching Method [PDF]
Digital inpainting provides a means for reconstruction of small damaged portions of an image. Although the inpainting basics are straightforward, most inpainting techniques published in the literature are complex to understand and implement.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Marching Cubes Algorithm for Fast 3D Modeling of Human Face by Incremental Data Fusion [PDF]
We present a 3D reconstruction system to realize fast 3D modeling using a vision sensor. The system can automatically detect the face region and obtain the depth data as well as color image data once a person appears in front of the sensor. When the user rotates his head around, the system will track the pose and integrate the new data incrementally to

Distributed-memory parallelization of an explicit time-domain volume integral equation solver on Blue Gene/P [PDF]
Two distributed-memory schemes for efficiently parallelizing the explicit marching-on in-time based solution of the time domain volume integral equation on the IBM Blue Gene/P platform are presented.

Fast Marching-based globally stable motion learning [PDF]
In this paper, a novel motion learning method is introduced: Fast Marching Learning (FML). While other learning methods are focused on optimising probabilistic functions or fitting dynamical systems, the proposed method consists on the modification of ...

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

The Spatiotemporal Genetic Architecture of Seed Vigor in Upland Cotton
Leveraging the semi‐automated SeedRanger platform, we profiled the germination kinetics of 356 cotton accessions at a 30‐min interval. This high‐throughput phenomic approach delineated a temporal genetic network comprising 541 stage‐specific loci. Crucially, functional validation identified FLA2 as a pivotal, auxin‐modulated regulator that orchestrates
