Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Two‐Step Clustering‐Based Equivalent Modeling of Large‐Scale Wind Farms for Enhanced Primary Frequency Regulation

open access: yesWind Energy
The focus on wind power frequency regulation has largely been on individual wind farms, which presents challenges in meeting the coordinated operation needs of multiple stations within large‐scale installations.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Adaptability analysis of distance protection in flexible low frequency ac outgoing transmission line of wind power system

open access: yesResults in Engineering
The extension of offshore wind power to medium and far seas has promoted the development of flexible low-frequency AC transmission (FLFAC) technology. However, the fault responses of the power electronic interface-type power sources (wind turbines and ...

Anomaly Detection and Removal Using Non-Stationary Gaussian Processes

open access: yes, 2015
This paper proposes a novel Gaussian process approach to fault removal in time-series data. Fault removal does not delete the faulty signal data but, instead, massages the fault from the data.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Pilot protection based on the quasi-directional element of LCL-tuned half-wavelength transmission line

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
To create HWTL characteristics, the electrical distance of AC transmission lines is compensated to half the power frequency wavelength by utilizing tuned circuits.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Laboratory Research on Fracture-Supported Shielding Temporary Plugging Drill-In Fluid for Fractured and Fracture-Pore Type Reservoirs

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2017
Based on fractures stress sensitivity, this paper experimentally studies fracture-supported shielding temporary plugging drill-in fluid (FSDIF) in order to protect fractured and fracture-pore type formation. Experimental results show the FSDIF was better
