Security and Privacy in Fog Computing: Challenges

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Fog computing paradigm extends the storage, networking, and computing facilities of the cloud computing toward the edge of the networks while offloading the cloud data centers and reducing service latency to the end users. However, the characteristics of

DIAGNOSIS WITH A FUNCTION-FAULT MODEL

open access: yesApplied Artificial Intelligence, 1989
This paper introduces a domain model for use in diagnostic problem solving. It emphasizes functional decomposition, rather than behavior, cause-effect, or spatial structure, and represents explicitly the faults of a system together with its possible explanations.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

From model, signal to knowledge: a data-driven perspective of fault detection and diagnosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This review paper is to give a full picture of fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) in complex systems from the perspective of data processing. As a matter of fact, an FDD system is a data-processing system on the basis of information redundancy, in which

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Research on Convolutional Neural Network Model for Sonar IMAGE Segmentation

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
The speckle noise of sonar images affects the human interpretation and automatic recognition of images seriously. It is important and difficult to realize the precision segmentation of sonar image with speckle noise in the field of image processing. Full

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.
