Bayesian-Optimized Hybrid Kernel SVM for Rolling Bearing Fault Diagnosis

open access: yes, 2023
We propose a new fault diagnosis model for rolling bearings based on a hybrid kernel support vector machine (SVM) and Bayesian optimization (BO). The model uses discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to extract fifteen features from vibration signals in the ...

Multi-objective structural optimization of hub unit bearing using response surface methodology and genetic algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2014
Hub unit bearings are key components in automobiles for carrying load and accurate piloting. The hub unit bearing must be of a smaller size and lighter weight to meet the requirements of automobile for higher fuel efficiency, improved ease of movement ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

Fault Diagnosis of Rolling Bearing Based on HPSO Algorithm Optimized CNN-LSTM Neural Network

open access: yes, 2023
The quality of rolling bearings is vital for the working state and rotation accuracy of the shaft. Timely and accurately acquiring bearing status and early fault diagnosis can effectively prevent losses, making it highly practical.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Fault Diagnosis of Induction Motor Based on a Novel Intelligent Framework and Transient Current Signals

open access: yes, 2013
This paper deals with fault diagnosis of induction motor containing common faults by using a novel intelligent framework and transient stator current signals. This framework consists of a Fourier-Bessel (FB) expansion for analyzing the transient signals,
