Distributed fault estimation for linear systems with actuator faults

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, 2020
SummaryThis article investigates the problem of designing a distributed fault estimation observer (DFEO) for a given linear time invariant observed system with disturbances. The DFEO consists of a network of local fault estimation observers. The local observers at the network nodes are physically distributed and hence each of them has access to only ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Fault Type Estimation in Power Systems

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2009
This paper presents a novel approach for fault type estimation in power systems. The Fault type estimation is the first step to estimate instantaneous voltage, voltage sag magnitude and duration in a three-phase system at fault duration.

Integrated Fault Estimation and Fault‐Tolerant Control for Dynamic Positioning of Ships

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2019
An integrated fault estimation and fault‐tolerant control scheme is developed in this paper for dynamic positioning of ships in the presence of an actuator fault. First, an auxiliary derivative output of dynamic positioning ships is constructed in order to satisfy the so‐called observer matching condition, and a high‐gain observer is designed to ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Rough set based gas turbine fault isolation study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Gas path fault isolation is one of the key techniques in Engine Health Management systems. In order to accomplish gas path fault isolation successfully for a gas turbine engine, both an accurate off-design performance model and an effective fault ...

Analytical Optimal Currents for Multiphase PMSMs Under Fault Conditions and Saturation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
An original analytical expression is presented in this paper to obtain optimal currents minimizing the copper losses of a multi-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) under fault conditions.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Robust State and Fault Estimation in Mobile Robots under Dynamic Noise Environments using Hybrid LSTM-EKF with Adaptive Weighting [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics
This paper proposes an adaptive hybrid estimation framework combining a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network and an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) for simultaneous robot state estimation and actuator fault detection in mobile robots operating under ...
