Fast fault estimation for linear systems with unmatched faults
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part G: Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2015This paper proposes a fast fault estimation (FE) method for a class of linear time-invariant systems, which relaxes the strict observer matching condition. Firstly, the integration unknown input observer is designed for the more widely left invertible systems.

Active Fault Tolerant Control Based on Fault Estimation
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014For the chattering problem in the traditional sliding mode observer-based fault estimation, a second order sliding mode observer based on the Super-twisting algorithm was proposed. In order to avoid the cumbersome process of proving the stability of the Super-twisting algorithm, a Lyapunov function was adopted.

Fault Estimation Observer Design of Nonlinear Systems with Actuator Faults
2017This paper introduces a relaxation design of fault estimation observer for some nonlinear dynamical plants by means of the Takagi–Sugeno method. A featured fuzzy fault estimation observer is produced by utilizing the named maximum-priority-based switching law, which is different from these existing ones.

IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 1990
An approach to estimate the fault coverage of the implementation of a VLSI design obtained by fault simulation at the function level is presented. The proposed methodology begins by defining a fault model for the functional level, the difference fault model (DFM), which reflects all of the faults in the implementation level.
