Intelligent Identification Method for ZDJ-9 AC Turnout Switch Machine Faults

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
Objective By analyzing abnormal three-phase action currents of AC switch machines, it is possible to identify faults in the turnout equipment. However, due to the constant operation of switch machines for large number of turnouts on urban rail transit ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Research on a Method for Identifying Key Fault Information in Substations

open access: yesComputation
The identification of critical fault information plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and stability of power systems. However, existing fault-identification technologies heavily rely on high-dimensional sensor data, which often contain ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

A Decoding Approach to Fault Tolerant Control of Linear Systems with Quantized Disturbance Input [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The aim of this paper is to propose an alternative method to solve a Fault Tolerant Control problem. The model is a linear system affected by a disturbance term: this represents a large class of technological faulty processes.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

A Fault-Severity-Assessment Model Based on Spatiotemporal Feature Fusion and Scene Generation for Optical Current Transformer

open access: yesEnergies
Accurately identifying the fault type of an optical current transformer (optical CT) and evaluating the fault severity can provide strong support for the operation and maintenance of a direct current (DC) power system.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
